I am so excited to tell you this story and share this wedding with you all!
When David and I got married last December, we picked a small, unknown venue just minutes away from my parent’s house. It was a white barn on a small plot of land they were cultivating for a vineyard. This cozy little white barn was the perfect place for our winter white Georgia wedding.
Rewind to about 2 years prior when I lead a small bible study with a few girls from my church at the time. That’s where I met Lehren, who is now one of my favorite people. She is one of the sweetest and most genuine people you will ever meet. She basically has a heart of gold. Her southern accent completes her personality in the most perfect way.
Lehren and her boyfriend (who I had actually known longer than I had known her), were obviously invited to our wedding, even though we kept it small. I knew there was a proposal coming soon but didn’t know when until my mom, yes my mom, pulls me aside during my reception to show me the ring on Lehnren’s finger.
Skip right to the point of this story here: while they were at our wedding, they fell in love with our venue and on June 1st, they got married at the same place David and I did!
It was so fun to walk into our venue again, as a married couple (almost 6 months later), and also to see it decorated vastly different then we had. The venue itself is still growing and making expansions and renovations so even the property was slightly different than it was for us. Lehren + Gio actually got married outside under a pergola, which was not in existence at all when we got married. It was fun to see all the new details the owners (who by the way are awesome) had added, and continue to develop. ***
While I was not their wedding photographer (I had actually been doing photography for about 2 weeks at the time), I was able to snap a few pictures to test the waters. That’s when the photography bug got a hold of me even more.
Now to the visual part of the post: here are just a few decor snaps I was able to grab during their cocktail hour!
I love how their wedding turned out, the decor represents sweet Lehren to a T! The food and dancing were purely Gio. Wedding’s are the best when they represent the couple perfectly, no matter what that looks like.
After shooting and editing these few pictures, I told David that I would definitely shoot another wedding, and this time be the actual photographer.
Thank you so much for letting me share this story with you guys and drop some pretty pictures into your day.
Until next time,
** We will be doing a full review of our venue (Koury Farms) this fall**
