Catalin was born and raised in Romania but has lived in America since his early twenties. For years, Catalin has been traveling from America to Romania to visit Alexandra. Alexandra has lived in Romania her entire life and has spent the past few years patiently waiting for those semi-annual visits from Catalin.
Their relationship took on a whole new meaning of “long distance.” However, last summer Catalin vowed to bring this long distance dating relationship to a close as he asked for Alexandra’s hand in marriage.
Move forward 1 year and Alexandra finally made it to America, just 1 month out from their wedding day. I got to meet her shortly after her arrival to the states and instantly loved her sweet spirit and personality. Her simple and sweet personality shined through their elegant wedding ceremony and reception, incorporating their European roots.
It was a joy to spend the entire day with them and capture a plethora of pictures for them to enjoy and treasure forever.
This is just a small peak into their long wedding day. Throughout the day they continued to be showered with love by friends + family. They loved they received was extra special for Alexandra, due to the fact that her parents were unable to come to America for the wedding. One of my favorite pictures of the day is there FaceTime session prior to leave for bridal portraits. It was a special time for Catalin + Alexandra to spend in the midst of the craziness. We love incorporating special moments such as that call into your wedding day. It gives the bride + groom to take a step back + be fully present in the moment.
Capturing these moments are one of our favorite parts of a wedding. What special moments will you or have you incorporated into your special day?
Catalin + Alexandra’s wedding was actually the very first wedding we ever photographed + we instantly fell in love with wedding + portrait photography. Since their wedding, we have had so many amazing weddings to grow + learn in our art. We are so excited to share more + more of our work with you all. We are in the process of getting our more recent work blogged + shared with everyone, + couldn’t be more excited to share all the pretty pictures.
